Dmitry was born on January 29, 1970, into a family of musicians and artists.

He finished the music school of the Moscow Conservatory and graduated from the piano faculty of the P.I Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in 1994.

He started to compose songs when he was fourteen. As a keyboard player of the vocal and instrumental band “Samotsvety” he went on tour in the USSR.

As a composer and singer he debuted at the TV show “Make a Wider Circle” with a song by L.Vinogradova “I’m Painting a Picture” in 1986.

The magazine “Moscow Komsomolets” announced him “Discovery of the Year” in 1988.

In 1989 and 1990, he was awarded the title “Singer of the Year”.

In the 1990s Dmitry worked in Germany. In 1993, he starred in the movie “Uvidet Parizh i umeret” (“To see Paris and Die”, director A.Poroshkin.)

Dmitry was a laureate of the Festival “Song of the Year” from 1989 to 2009.

His debut as a pianist was at the TV show “Paradise-cocktail” where he played F.Liszt’s concert with the orchestra under K.Kremets. Dmitry also performed with the orchestra “Moscow Virtuosos” under V.Spivakov, the ensemble “Soloists of Moscow” under Yu.Bashmet, pianists R.Klaiderman and R.Wells. He cooperated with M.Naiman as well.

The instrumental show “Pianomania” created by Dmitry Malikov is considered to be the first instrumental performance in Russia.

The performances took place in the Moscow Operetta Theatre in 2007.

In December, 2010, Dmitry became the producer of the show “Symphonic Mania”, in which the symphonic orchestra and theatre choir of the “New Opera”, the “Imperial Russian Ballet” and the “Cirque du Soleil” performed.

In 2011, Dmitry founded a charitable foundation “Permeating into Heart”.

In 2012, he founded a social-educational children project “Lessons of Music” in which he gives master-classes all over Russia.

In September 2012, he became the host of children TV show “Good Night, Kids”.

Dmitry was awarded the medals “For Faith and Good” in 2013 and “70 years of Victory” for active participation in patriotic education of young generation.

The artist celebrated his 45th birthday on the stage of the Moscow Crocus City Hall with a classical and pop music concert.

Dmitry performed in Minsk on April 27, 2015, with anniversary program “Permeating into Heart”.

He has more than 30 video clips. “Drink up” and “My Distant Star” are the winners of the Russian Festival of Video Clips “Generation”.

He will take part in the Opening Ceremony of the Festival “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” (20.30, July 9, Summer Amphitheatre), the concert “Golden Hit: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow (night July 10-11, 01.30, Summer Amphitheatre), the Concert of the XXIV International Pop Song Performers Contest “VITEBSK-2015” (22.00, July 12, Summer Amphitheatre), the Gala Concert of the XII International Children Contest “Vitebsk 2015” (17.00, July 13, Concert Hall “Vitebsk”) and the Closing Ceremony of the Festival (22.00, July 13, Summer Amphitheatre).
