People’s Artist of Ukraine (2009), popular singer and composer, TV presenter.

Born in Kiev, Irina Bilyk joined “Solnyshko” ensemble at the age of six. Aged seven, she began to attended piano classes at music studio, which she kept secret from her parents. Irina composed her first song at the age of ten. She also studied dancing and classical ballet, and attended a drama studio.

After finishing music school, she taught music to children.

In 1989, Irina Bilyk entered the pop vocal department of the Gliere Kiev State Music College.

In 1990, at the “Spring Hopes” festival (Vinnitsa, Ukraine) she met the musicians of the group “Ayax”, and they formed a group “This Rain is For Long”. The following year the group started collaborating with the “Rostislav–Show” agency.

In 1991, Irina Bilyk became a prizewinner of the International Festival “Singing Vernissage. New Ukrainian Wave”. In 1993, with the group “This Rain is For Long” she took part in the National Festival “Maria” (Truskavets).

In 1993, Irina graduated from the pop-vocal department of the Gliere Kiev State Music College, and later the department of variety and mass events directing at the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts.

In 1994, she made her debut as a presenter of “Night of the New Year” TV show.

In 1995, she participated in the concert tour “Nova” and gave her first solo show in the National Palace “Ukraine”.

In 1996, Irina won the “Golden Firebird” Award in the nominations “Female Singer of the Year” and “Song of the Year”.

In 1997, she won the Grand Prix of the festival “Parade of Hit Parades”, the “Golden Firebird” Award in the nominations “Female Singer of the Year” and “Album of the Year”.

In 1998, she went on to receive the “Golden Firebird” Award for the third time in the nominations “Female Singer of the Year” and “Album of the Year”. The following year Irina Bilyk won in the nominations the “Best Female Singer”, “Best album”, “Best Video” at the “NOVA records awards” Ceremony. It was then that her image was used in ad campaigns of “Dirol Wild Berry”, “Peugeot-206”, “Idea Studio” (Italy).

In 2002, Irina was a winner in the nomination “Discovery of the Year” at the festival “Yach Film” (Poland).

In 2004, she released her first album “Love. Poison” in Russian, which within ten days became platinum. The album sales exceed 100,000 copies.

In 2006, she was announced the “Best Female Singer” at “Showbiz AWARD”.

She took part in the national TV projects “Dancing With the Stars -2” (2007), “National Star” (2009),“Star + Star” (2010).

In 2011, she was invited to join the jury the TV project “Star Factory -4”.

In March 2013, with the group “TIK” Irina was on All-Ukrainian tour “Best Ukrainian Hits”. 24 concerts were given within a month’s period, and the participants of the tour were included into the Ukrainian Book of Records for the “highest number of concerts”.

Irina Bilyk appeared in the movies “Sorochinskaya Fair” (2004), “Starry Vacations” (2006), “A Very New Year Movie or Night at the Museum“(2007).

 Irina Bilyk took part in the first music festival “Slavianski Bazaar” in 1992. In1993 and 1995 she was at the festival “Slavianski Bazaar” with the group “This Rain is For Long”.

In2007, she took part in the gala concert of Masters of Arts of Ukraine “Kupalie”.

In2012, Irina Bilyk performed on stage of the Summer Amphitheatre in the Opening Ceremony of the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”,  the gala concert of Masters of Arts of Ukraine “Constellation of Ukraine”, and the night concert “Songs of Summer”.
