First Prize Winner of the International Pop Song Performers Contest “Vitebsk-2012”

Born in Tukums (Latvia), Samanta lives in Riga. She began her music studies at the age of three. She started singing in studio ‘Varaviksne’ and decided to go into singing professionally after her victory in the vocal contest in Tukums, when she was 12. Aged 15, she recorded an album with the Polish rock group “Etanis”.

In 2008, she participated in the TV show “Latvian Talents”, taking the 16th place.

“Just Waiting” and 5 remixes with DJ Plastic were released in Latvia and Germany.

Samanta has taken part in the international singing contests and festivals in Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova and Italy. Her most important achievements include but are not limited to the First prize at the Children and Youth Pop Groups Festival “The Echo of Gauja” (2007, Sigulda, Latvia), the International Festival “The Baltic Talents” (2008, Riga, Latvia), the Grand Prix of the International Young Performers Festival “Birds Are Free Only in the Sky” (2007, Valka, Latvia), the International Contest “The Song of My Generation” (2008, Tukums, Latvia), the International contest “Tulip Flowers” (2009, Klaipeda, Lithuania), the International Pop Music Contest “Canorissimamente” (2011, Pompei, Italy).

In 2010, Samanta Tina won the TV project “O! Kartes Academia” (Latvian Star Factory).

In 2012, in the national selections for the International Song Contest “Eurovision” Samanta was the first in the final round and the second in the super final round.

She performed with the program “Samanta’s Sex Songs” in Latvia.

In spring 2013, Samanta presented her debut album “I’m Different Now”, including 23 songs recorded during the past three years in Latvian, Russian and English.

In 2013 and 2014, she got into the super final of the national selections for the International Song Contest “Eurovision”.

In March 2014, she made her debut in the theatre, performing four roles in a comedy based on the work by the modern playwright Oleg Bogaev “The Rubber Prince”.

In 2013, Samanta Tinawas a jury member of the International Children Music Contest “Vitebsk”.
