Kim Breitburgwas born in Lvov on February 10, 1955, into a family of professional artists. His music education started with piano studies at music school. In the beginning of the 1970s, while studying at the theory of music department of the Nikolaev State Music College, he got fond of rock music and founded a group. In 1978, its members joined the “Dialogue” group.

Kim Breitburgcollaborated with the “Gaudeamus” group of the Nikolaev Shipbuilding Institute, worked for the Ural Philharmonic Society, Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society, Donetsk Philharmonic Society and KuzbassRegion StatePhilharmonic Society.

In1980, “Dialogue” became the prizewinner of the rock music festival “Autumn Rhythms (Tbilisi, Georgia). Kim Breitburgwas recognized as the best vocalist of that music forum.

From 1984 to 1992, the group “Dialogue” gave concerts in 32 countries, including Great Britain, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Cuba, Norway, Sweden, released five vinyl records and four CDs (three in Germany and one in Austria).

Kim Breitburgworked for“ARS” music association, and, as a producer and composer, collaborated with “Alla Pugacheva’s Theatre of Song”, Valery Meladze, Nikolai Trubach, the bands “Bravo”, “Premyer-Ministr” and others.

Numerous prizewinner of the TV festivals “Song of the Year” and “New Songs About the Most Important”, he is a music producer of the projects “People’s Artist”, “Secret of Success”, “Battle of Choirs”, a producer and stage director of a number of pop shows including “Just A Song” (2005) and “Flowers Under Snow” in the State Kremlin Palace.

Kim Breitburgis a recipient ofmany prestigious awards such as the “Defender of Motherland” of the First Degree Order, “Recognition of Outstanding Merits” and “Service to the Arts” Medals.

He is the author of the rock opera “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign” (lyrics by A. Dmitruk, 1978), suites “Under One Sky” (lyrics by S. Kirsanov, 1980), “I am a Man” (lyrics by Ju. Marcinkyavicius, 1982), “Share With Me” (lyrics by Ju. Marcinkyavicius, 1984), “Once Tomorrow” (lyrics by S. Kirsanov, 1986), “In the Middle of the World” (lyrics by A. Tarkovskiy, 1990).

His musicals include “Blue Cameo” (libretto by K. Kavaleryan, 2009), “Dubrovsky” (libretto by K. Kavaleryan, 2010), “Leonardo” (libretto by E. Muraviov, 2011), “The Snow Queen” (libretto by S. Sashin, E. Melnik, 2011), “Casanova” (libretto by E. Muraviov, 2013).

Kim Breitburgcomposed music for movies “Golden Age” (2003), “Golden Fish” (2008), “Golden Key” (2009).

In2014, he is working to stage the musical “Dubrovsky” in the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts (Minsk, Belarus).

Kim Breitburg has been collaborating with the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” for many years. He gave solo concerts, appeared in the gala concerts of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the International Festival of Arts and performed as a guest artist in the jubilee and charity programmes of the Belarusian and Russian performers, the concerts of “Festival Without Borders. He was also invited to the Star Hour” meeting.

In 2006, Kim Breitburg was awarded a special diploma of the Permanent Committee of the Union State of Russia and Belarus for the song “Two Sisters(lyrics by E.Melnik) at the festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk. In the same year he gave his concert “Two Sisters,Belarus and Russiaon the Day of the Union State on stage of the Summer Amphitheatre.

In 2007, he headed the International Jury of the International Pop Song Performers Contest “Vitebsk”.

In 2010, Kim Breitburg received a jubilee Memorable Award “10 years to the Day of RussianandBelarusian Peoples' Unity”.

In 2014, for the Opening Ceremony of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebskhe’s composed a song “Slavonic Soul”.
