The participants


Yordan was born in Silistra, on September 15, 1993.

Aged five, he became a soloist of the vocal group “Carnival” (director: R. Vylchanova).

In 2003, he entered the School of Arts at the “Dorostol” House of Culture (teacher: T. Danchev).

From 2005 to 2009, Yordan participated in the national and international festivals in Bulgaria: “River Notes” (Tutrakan), “Northern Lights” (Ruse), “Stars of the Danube” (Silistra), “Seasons” (Burgas), “Magic Songs” (Targovishte), and in the international project of the European youth cooperation (Olomouc, the Czech Republic, 2009).

In 2010, he won prizes at such international song competitions in Bulgaria as“The Sea” (Varna), “Constellation” (Shumen). After his successful performance at the “River Notes” festival (Tutrakan), he was awarded a scholarship of the Ministry of Education of Bulgaria.

In 2011, Yordan won First Prize of the International Festival “Golden Microphone” (Kostanay, Kazakhstan), Second Prize of the contest “Magic Microphone” (Satka, Russia), and Grand Prix at the international festivals “Bells” (Kubrat, Bulgaria) and “Boztorgai” (Almaty, Kazakhstan), the Audience Prize at the TV contest “Pirin Folk”.

In 2012, he gave successful performances at the contests in Spain, Bulgaria, Russia, Hungary and other countries, entered the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia (pop and jazz singing department).

The popular songs composed specifically for Yordan Markov include “Without Love”, “The Little Prince”, “To Have Friends”, ”Stay With Me” ...

In 2015, Yordan Markov gave his first solo concert at the festival “Pirin Folk”. By the decision of the contest jury, he represents Bulgaria at the International Pop Song Performers Contest within the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”.
